Looking forward to heading in to Portland this weekend for rosecitycomiccon . I’ll be at Table L-07 with a full spectrum of books, including copies of the newly released STUMPTOWN V3 #1 and the collected THE FUSE Vol.1: THE RUSSIA SHIFT.

I’ve also had some new 11x17 STUMPTOWN prints made (as seen above) and as well as FUSE prints (as seen below) and a ton of original art for sale at my table. And I’ll be taking on a couple more commissions at the show for folks who are interested.

On Saturday, I’ll be on the Oni Press: Creator-Owned Comics For You Panel at 3:00 pm with my STUMPTOWN partner-in-crime Greg Rucka (@ruckawriter) and a slew of great creators in Panel Room 2.

It’s my first time attending this show so make sure to drop by and say hello!

The Fuse Vol.1: The Russia Shift hits shelves this week! by Justin Greenwood

The Fuse Volume 1: The Russia Shift from imagecomics will be available in comic shops on Wednesday and it’s a pretty great deal at $10 for 160 pages! It collects the first 6 issues of our series, with the next arc starting up in a couple months. You can check out more info including a preview and some critical praise HERE.

I got my comps last week and I’ve been spending a lot of time flipping through the collection. I’m really happy with the way it came out and I gotta give it up to the rest of the Fuse crew (antonyjohnston, shari and edbrisson) for all the hard work. And a huge thanks to Image Comics for all the great support.

if one thing is clear in review, my partner in crime Antony deserves some big appreciation for all the extra work he does. Besides being a great writer, Antony also does the book design and bulk of the work on our covers. The collection looks really sharp thanks to him, and in working on this project  I’ve often been surprised at how creatively versatile he is.

I hope you check it out and enjoy it as much as we did making it! The Fuse team is already working on the next arc and if you dig Volume 1, you’re going to really like the upcoming Volume 2: GRIDLOCK.

“22,000 MILES UP, THERE IS NO BACKUP.
Working homicide on an orbiting energy platform, in a five mile long jury-rigged steel city stuffed with a half million people, and no help from your so-called colleagues back on earth, is more than tough…it’s murder.”

Questions about THE FUSE: by Justin Greenwood

The announcement of my drawing STUMPTOWN has prompted many folks to ask about the future of THE FUSE and I just want to be clear that I’m still hard at work on THE FUSE and have no intentions on leaving!

We planned schedules for both these books around each other from the outset last year, and I’ve been working on both for many months already. It is definitely a challenge and requires a bit of extra patience/assistance from my partners in crime (which I appreciate very much :) but so far it’s worked out well and everything is on track.

Thanks for the interest, and I hope that if you enjoy one that you’ll check out the other. I’ve been having an absolute blast working on both projects and am very grateful to both my collaboratoring teams and the fans for the support.

- Justin
